Deeds By Kids© used books collection project initiated by Lea Wolf-Soffer as she observed her daughter Sabrina and her friends having fun buying books, reading them once, and then they sit on the shelf in a brand new condition with limited use.  As she looked to engage her daughter in some “appreciation programs”, she realized that this would be fun project to start with. Deeds by Kids was oragnized by Lea Wolf-Soffer with a purpose to help kids building strong identity and character with compassion and appreciation to the world around them. The first project was the collection of used books which exceeded their goals and the kids were empowered and inspired to be engaged in the entire process.

Our first book drive, the kids collected over 1087 books, which mostly collected from neighbours and friends in the Carmel Valley community and were donated to Cabrillo Elementary School in Point Loma.  About 200 books were donated to kindergarten and first grade in Orange County.  Read More about the project click here.

The Deeds by Kids™ Book Project is an ongoing effort to collect used books and deliver them to kids in an underserved school.
